Wightlink Ferries prepares for festival season

Wightlink Ferries, a leading ferry company between the mainland and the Isle of Wight, is today launching its new infographic, showcasing a number of unusual facts about key festivals being hosted on the Island this summer. From the Garlic Festival to Bestival, Wightlink encourages visitors to find out more about the Island’s festivals and take part in its #WightLive campaign.     

Holland America Line’s ms Volendam to add Lanai Staterooms and mix bar area

When Holland America Line’s ms Volendam completes dry-dock in December 2014, the ship will feature 21 new exclusive lanai staterooms, the contemporary bar area Mix and updated bathrooms in all suites and select other stateroom categories. With the conversion of existing outside staterooms to the new lanai accommodations, Volendam’s guest capacity of 1,432 will not change.

Anthem of the Seas mega block transferred out of building hall

A piece of steel which will make up Royal Caribbean International’s highly anticipated new ship ‘Anthem of the Seas’ was transferred out of a building hall in the Meyer Werft ship yard Papenburg, Germany, earlier. Royal Caribbean International’s Anthem of the Seas is being built after sister ship, Quantum of the Seas leaves the building hall later this year.     

Oceania Cruises records 1,000,000th booking

Travel advisor Jenny Malka of Atlanta-based Century Travel, a Virtuoso affiliated agency, booked Oceania Cruises’ one-millionth reservation earlier today. This is a significant milestone for Oceania Cruises, which was founded by cruise industry veterans Frank Del Rio and Bob Binder with three, 684-passenger ships – Insignia, Nautica and Regatta.     

New Craft Beer theme to brew on Crystal fall culinary cruise

Crystal Cruises is putting a twist on its popular “Wine & Food” Experiences of Discovery motif by replacing the “wine” with lagers, stouts, IPAs, and “cold ones” that are barrel-aged, made with bacon, have names like “Funky Old Time,” and more – all for a new Microbrew-themed luxury cruise.

Norwegian Cruise Line to further enrich guest experience

Norwegian Cruise Line has announced that it is investing more than $250 million in “Norwegian NEXT,” a program focused on bringing “new enhancements, experiences and transformations” across the fleet. The goal is to elevate the guest experience, building on the success of the line’s two newest ships: Norwegian Breakaway and Norwegian Getaway.
